The mood was festive and provided lots of opportunity for fun for the over 100 TempWorks employees and their dates who took over Ansari’s Mediterranean Grill on Saturday night. This is the second year that the company has rented out this venerable restaurant that has been serving authentic Mediterranean cuisine for over three decades.

With the nation’s economy still in tough shape, and company holiday parties a thing of the past for many, we are especially appreciative of being able to carry on the tradition and to also actually celebrate another year of growth and success.

TempWorks’ President David Dourgarian took the opportunity to deliver an impassioned speech highlighting a few of the many accomplishments of 2011. When a company spends as much time looking into the future as TempWorks does, it’s also a neat thing to take some time to look back at the past on occasion. And what an occasion this was.

Of course, with such a diverse group as our employees, there is never a shortage of people to talk to or interesting things to do. To ensure that everyone was going to be entertained throughout the night, we brought in two LCD TVs along with a few XBOX Kinects for some energetic gaming!

Ansari’s also contributed to the entertainment cause with an authentic belly dancer. That part was planned. We also had a little spontaneous entertainment provided by Nick Wera, Jack Terrana and Dan Laska, who got up on stage to show off their Middle Eastern dance moves. Who knew?!

Later in the evening, it was karaoke that took center stage. Some other TempWorks employees treated us to, shall we say, interesting entertainment, as well as a few laughs, with their karaoke skills. Our appreciation to Midwest Knights for providing the DJ and Karaoke set-up. The night ended with lots of dancing.

Contrary to the trend of permanent employment, his clients which include temporary staffing giants like Manpower and Link Staffing are growing faster than ever and demand for new implementations has never been greater.

New contracts with high growth firms like MDT, Sterling National Bank resulted in TempWorks embarking on a major office expansion –Casey Kraus

Already Kraus, a Hamline University MBA, claims 78 new enterprise software contracts in the last year and some of them with national and high growth firms like MDT, Abacus, Sterling National Bank and Contract Professionals.

With its offices crammed with software developers and payroll processors, TempWorks embarked recently on a major expansion, taking over office space vacated by the county’s job training center located in the same building.

“Employers are finding the constantly changing regulations regarding employment and payroll taxes from the Obama administration to be frightening,” says Kraus.  “And so that does hurt the overall job picture.

But the demand for service industry personnel is exploding nonetheless, and so organizations are opting to contract out for temporary personnel.”

Jose Maldonado,  a Kraus protégé who travels the county speaking with temp companies echoes Jack Terrana that the TempWorks venture program is rocket fuel for high-growth services.

TempWorks Software launched an iPhone application that turns the iconic device into both a recruitment and sales platform.
