Knowing what an Employee can do is only ½ the battle, in staffing you must also know what is needed to get the Job (Order) done.
Finding the appropriate Employee for an Order involves knowing what that candidate can do…. that is very easy and quite obvious by storing Interest Codes on their Employee’s record.
What might not be as obvious is that Interest Codes can also be stored on the Customer’s record. By doing this, the Interest Codes default into each Order that Customer places. This makes matching Employees with Orders much more efficient and easy.
Interest Codes can be Order specific, as well.
Another, lesser known, area where Interest Codes can be tracked is on the Contact’s record. From the Contact’s Visifile, Interest Codes can be added. This comes in very handy when a Contact says, for instance, “Give me a call when you find a SQL programmer”. You may not have a firm Order but by indicating what the Contact is looking for, when that perfect Candidate walks in you can “skill sell” them to the Contact.
