Daily Training Talk: Candidate Tracking by your Clients

Are your clients playing a part in the candidate selection process? Are you submitting resumes to your client for the candidates you are presenting?  Is it time consuming is it to prepare and present resumes to your clients? I remember the good old days when candidates would walk in the door with their resume in a manilla folder in their hand.  We used to white-out their address and phone number …

What Is “She” Doing Here?

It is with absolute delight that I’m sharing this excellent post by our new VP of Account Management, Susan Wurst, which she originally wrote as an internal email to our employee base. Our President and Acting-CEO, David Dourgarian, recruited Susan, in addition to three other highly-seasoned executives, from one of our main competitors to help manage the extremely rapid growth he’s achieved in the last five years since he first …

People, Process, Technology: February Newsletter

At a time when many software companies position themselves as technically superior yet faceless ‘cloud services’, I’m hearing time and again from our customers that what they truly value in us is our people. Time to pull them in from backstage and into the limelight! This month’s newsletter features one of our lead support analysts, Kevin Prow, who helped develop key products like DocCenter and TimeClock and led the team …

The Force is with Ex-TempWorks Graphic Artist

A Nod to a Good Competitor

On corporate blogs like this you get a steady diet of self-aggrandizing posts.  Stuff like “We’re the only company that understands the customer” (chest thump) or “We’re the leading provider” (rib-cracking pat on one’s own back). Whenever I see statements like that coming out of my own company, I move into high gear to shut it down because in the end bragging demonstrates weak character.  It creates anxiety and reduces …

Better Than Screenshots: Windows 7 Steps Recorder

problem-steps-recorder

One thing we are very proud of is our support team. Nothing seems to stump them. Many times when receiving support, your tech will ask you for screenshots. In fact, if you’ve ever received phone tech support in your life, there’s a good chance you’ve been asked to email a “screenshot.” But many people don’t know there’s a better way. There is a tool in Windows 7 called ‘Problem Steps …

A Super Friendly Email Setup Interface–Delivered

Hats off to our Enterprise developers for the latest updates to our soon-to-be-released 17R1 version which includes the friendliest email setup interface imaginable.  The update supports the most common email platforms out there, in particular Microsoft Outlook which enjoys a healthy market share.  When I opened the email setup form, I got the image displayed here and after clicking on Outlook I just entered my email address, greggd@tempworks.com, and presto …

Celebrating Another Great Year At TempWorks!

No company ever takes enough time to recognize their employees, but we try at the end of the year with TempWorks’ annual holiday party. The mood was festive and provided lots of opportunity for fun for the over 100 TempWorks employees and their dates who took over Ansari’s Mediterranean Grill on Saturday night. This is the second year that the company has rented out this venerable restaurant that has been serving …
